Warum Tel Aviv?
Der Name „Tel Aviv“ Darin steht „Tel“ (vielschichtiger Siedlungshügel) für „alt“ und „Aviv“ (Frühling) für „neu“. Der Name kommt bereits beim biblischen Propheten Ezechiel vor, wo er einen anderen Ort bezeichnet. Dazu und zur Wahl des Namens siehe weiter unten.
