Was macht ein Phaser?
What is a tremolo in guitar?
Today we are focusing on a super creative technique called tremolo. This technique is widely used in classical, Spanish, and modern music. Many guitar players think that the tremolo is only used in Classical music, and its main purpose is to make the melody sound more “alive” and sweet.
How do you practice the tremolo?
By playing the tremolo on one note —and by listening very carefully —the student is able to hear more clearly the quality of each tone produced and also control any rhythmic imperfections. This should first be practiced very slowly with each tone being equal, and then one can gradually increase the tempo.
What can destroy a tremolo?
– Subtle tremolo can be completely destroyed by running it before a compressor, which tries to diminish changes in volume. – If running a tremolo with high depth settings that turn the signal all the way down into a delay pedal, you can lose this dramatic volume change to the delay tails.
How do squarewave LFOs produce the tremolo effect?
With the depth set to maximum, squarewave LFOs will just alternate the signal on and off, making for a dramatic effect. The sound of the tremolo effect comes from not just the type of waveform the LFO is producing, but precisely how that waveform is used to change the volume.
