Welche Aufgaben hat die ITF?
Der Internationale Tennisbund veranstaltet die vier Grand Slam-Turniere (Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon und die US Open). Außerdem ist die ITF Veranstalter des Davis Cup und Fed Cup, der Tenniswettbewerbe bei den Olympischen Spielen, Jugendturniere, Futures und Challenger.
Was sind ITF Turniere?
Der ITF Junior Circuit ist eine Serie von jährlich über 65 Turnieren der Altersklasse U18, die in mehr als 140 Ländern ausgetragen werden. Diese Veranstaltungen sollen die Nachwuchsspieler*innen an ein professionelles Niveau heranführen und ihnen bessere Einstiegsmöglichkeiten in den Erwachsenenbereich bieten.
Für was steht ATP im Tennis?
Die Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) ist die Vereinigung der professionellen männlichen Tennisspieler, sie ist somit das Gegenstück zur Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). Über ATP und WTA steht noch die International Tennis Federation (ITF), die die Spielregeln bestimmt.
Wie funktioniert ATP Ranking?
Ein Spieler bekommt eine festgelegte Punktzahl aus der Runde, in der er ausgeschieden ist oder Punkte für den Turniersieg. Gewonnene Punkte zählen im Ranking maximal 52 Wochen, bis sie aus der Gesamtpunktzahl des Spielers entfallen.
Was ist das ATP Turnier?
Als ATP Tour (2009–2018: ATP World Tour) bezeichnet man die von der Spielervereinigung ATP veranstaltete Herrentennis-Turnierserie. Die Saison beginnt um den Jahreswechsel und endet Mitte November.
